Multilingual Glossary Project

As a result of Interpreting for Torture Survivors workshop, Maine interpreters and translators created multilingual glosssaries of terms related to torture:

Glossaries help interpreters and translators better understand the key concepts that leads to linguistic consistency. Kudos to the Nadia Al Qaisy, Deqa Dhalac, Gordana Donlan, Ghomri Rostampour, Barbara Clark, Cynthia Barnard, Sebastien Nahimana, Jovin Bayingana, Olha Davis, Sandra Ricker, and LienHoa Pham for finalizing the translations!

Interpreting for Torture Survivors workshop was offered in collaboration with City of Portland Refugee Services, Community Counseling Center, and Catholic Charities Maine Refugee & Immigration Services.
