LANA Qualifed Interpreter is a person who:

  • Has at least a high school diploma
  • Successfully passed language proficiency tests in all working languages or submitted proof of education in those languages
  • Completed at least 12-hour LANA's Basic Skills of Interpreting workshop or similar training on interpreter's role and ethics

Competent Medical Interpreter is a person who completed LANA's 100-hour Medical Interpreter Training and successfully completed the competency test at the end of the course.
