Learn Basic Skills of Interpreting
The 12-hour workshop on August 4 and 6 introduces bilingual individuals and beginning interpreters to the interpreter's role, Code of Ethics, modes of interpreting, and other essential basics of interpreting. Registration deadline is Friday, July 16. Click here for more information.
LANA's 4th 100-hour Medical Interpreter Training is starting on September 10, 2010 in Portland. The training covers introduction to the health care system in the U.S., basic anatomy, medical terminology, interpreting exercises, and ethical case studies. Enhanced Medical Interpreting: Mental Health
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation's Culture InSight workshop will be offered again on Saturday, September 25 in Portland.
